Donal is Managing Partner of PKF O’Connor Leddy & Holmes Limited. He is a Taxation Partner since 1999 and has been Managing Partner since 2006. Donal’s main area of expertise is taxation and he has over 25 years of experience in dealing with a broad range of taxation issues including all corporate tax issues as well as advising on acquisitions and disposals of companies and setting up of new businesses. He also has extensive experience of dealing with Revenue Investigations, audits and settlements. Donal advises on all areas of tax including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT and Capital Gains Tax. His focus is to devise solutions and remove barriers for clients who are in the process of completing transactions.

This relates to all types of industries but particularly property, food and manufacturing and advice related companies.

Donal has lectured for the Irish Taxation Institute on Capital Gains Tax.

Mark is a partner with PKF O’Connor, Leddy & Holmes Limited and has spent the last thirty four years with the firm. During that time Mark has worked across a large number of client types and sectors, delivering a wide range of auditing services. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

He is responsible for a number of large audit clients. The majority of his clients are concentrated in the manufacturing and professional services sectors, the latter being mainly engineering and architectural businesses.

He has developed considerable expertise in the area of the disposal/transfer of large family businesses and succession planning. This involves extensive consultation with our tax division on tax planning issues. It also involves detailed consultations with both the retiring shareholders and the new shareholders in the business. Many of these clients are now successfully trading as second generation businesses.

He has also worked extensively with start-up businesses in the preparation of business plans, projections and the raising of finance for such start-ups.

Mark is focused on ensuring that our clients have the best possible relationship with our firm and is responsible for ensuring that our team delivers a comprehensive range of services to a consistently high standard to our entire client base.

Susan Wylie is an audit partner with PKF O’Connor Leddy & Holmes Limited, Accountants & business advisers. She joined the firm in 1989, worked throughout the organisation and became partner in 2003.

Susan is one of the partners responsible for overseeing the audit & assurance side of the practice and specialises in providing services to a diverse range of clients ranging from multinational and corporate clients to start-up and owner managed businesses.

Susan has significant experience in working with clients in a variety of sectors including Wholesale & distribution, Retail, Technology, Manufacturing, Property development, Aircraft parts leasing, Professional services and the Charity sector.

Relevant Skills & Experience

Susan oversees the provision of auditing services to clients under Irish GAAP and IFRS, for domestic companies, Irish subsidiaries of multinational groups and Irish holding companies with foreign subsidiaries abroad.

Over the years Susan has also gained experience in accounting, managements accounts, personal & corporate taxation and Irish company law. This experience has assisted both international and domestic companies during start up, acquisition and growth phases. Susan also acts for a number of legal firms providing Law Society Reports under Irish Law Society Regulations.

Susan has delivered CPD lectures internally and externally on Auditing and other related matters.

Catherine is a tax partner and leads the Private Client and VAT Department. She joined the firm in 2000 and has been a tax partner since 2007. Catherine is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Chartered Accountant. She graduated from Dublin City University with a B.A in Accounting and Finance.

Catherine has 20 years experience in providing tax advice. Her particular areas of expertise would include:

She devises solutions and provides her clients with comprehensive tax enabling them to realise the full tax implications of the transaction. Catherine has delivered CPD lectures on various tax areas to include Retirement & Succession Planning and VAT on property transactions.


Specialisation: Leads the Corporate Finance Department


Neal McGroarty is a Corporate Finance Partner with PKF O’Connor Leddy & Holmes Limited and leads the Corporate Finance Department. Neal joined the firm in 2017 and has been involved in advising clients across a wide range of sectors. Neal is a Chartered Accountant, holds a degree in Applied Mathematics, Professional Diploma in Accountancy and a Diploma in Corporate Finance.

Neal’s experience extends to transactions across a wide range of sectors, both domestically and internationally. He has significant transactional experience within healthcare, retail, infrastructure, utilities, hospitality, ICT and software, FMCG and aircraft leasing.

His skill set includes M&A, investment appraisals, fundraising, due diligence, business planning, financial models and strategic reviews for both domestic and internationally opportunities.
Neal aims to provide clients with a clear view of the operational, commercial and financial requirements associated with corporate finance transactions.

Damian came on board PKF as a consultant through the merger of Doody Crowley. He has experience working with clients from SMEs to multinational firms, semi states and publicly quoted companies. He also spent some time working in venture capital.

A Qualified Financial Advisor since 2004, Damian believes that financial planning for entrepreneurs must integrate their personal and business circumstances into a SMART plan for both themselves and their families.

Damian is a past President of the Leinster Society of the ACCA in Ireland and a past Director of the Irish Venture Capital Association. He has lectured on Internal Control and Internal Audit for Dublin Business School and has delivered CPD lectures on Risk Management. He currently sits on the board of a number of companies as an executive and non-executive Director.

Declan is a partner with PKF O’Connor, Leddy & Holmes. He joined the firm in 2012 and leads the firm’s Corporate Recovery Department. Declan is a Chartered Accountant and has degrees in both economics and law. Declan was appointed a Peace Commissioner in 2006 by the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Declan was made partner in 2017.

Declan has more than ten years experience in corporate finance and corporate recovery. He has assisted clients from a broad range of sectors with strategic planning, restructuring, project appraisal, and project finance. He has undertaken numerous formal insolvency assignments including receiverships and liquidations. He has also been engaged by lenders to conduct examinations of borrowers affairs and to advise on whether or not to provide additional financial support.

The advisory assignments that Declan has undertaken involved a broad range of sectors including property & construction, hotels and leisure, the motor trade, and retail.

The corporate restructuring assignments that Declan has undertaken involved preparing restructuring proposals, negotiating with banks and other creditors, and helping clients to implement the changes proposed.

Declan has written extensively and delivered CPD lectures on corporate restructuring and insolvency.

Declan has extensive international experience and has advised on projects in locations as diverse as South America, the Caribbean, and Africa. Whilst undertaking international assignments

Liam Farrell leads the PKF Business Services Department having previously worked within our Assurance and Advisory department. In over fifteen years working with small and medium sized practices, Liam has developed an extensive knowledge of accounts, audit, taxation, company secretarial and business planning.

He has worked on the affairs of newly established to multi-national listed clients, across many sectors of the Irish Economy including professional, manufacturing, retail, franchising, construction & rental and hotel & leisure sectors.
